THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

I had a report that there was an invisible top in CAS. It doesn't seem to have a CASP resource so it shouldn't cause any issues (like being assigned to a random Sim). It's best to avoid it or hide it or blacklist it using NRaas mods. Do NOT try to save the game while your Sim is "wearing" this invisible top.

UPDATE #1: MARCH 2025

Added some missing content: the Mother Russia CAS Set and the Cool Chap Cap that was given as a secret bonus item in the "Make Me an Offer" page. If there's something else missing, please let me now.

Now NRaas MasterController and the Cheats and Integration modules are included in the pack. This version NRaas MC comes with CAS Compact Mode enabled by default. This should fix the issue of blank/invisible CAS items and also speed up the loading of CAS items. Keep in mind, these mods aren't compatible with Lazy Duchess' Smooth Path, but you can have both. Her mod will automatically disable the fast loading of CAS items.

Most of these are sims from stories I've made or AUs from things I like. First two are for a gameplay story I had planned and scrapped. 4th and 5th are Tolkien characters. Last one is a drow that I made after playing BG3 and making my own little adventure group.

Zip files contain a package file, sims3pack, .sim file, and CC list. Choose either 1. package file 2. sims3pack or 3. .sim file and download all the cc youself (I'd recommend this, as I use default replacements). Links to my sliders + default skin. I often use MasterController to make me feel like a god of Sims' lives. Often use DebugEnabler too to reset object textures.

The Sims 2 - Numenor The ModFather

(I'm no longer play The Sims 2, but Numenor is still the best The Sims 2 core modder in my memory. Numenor is still active on MTS, wow.. his last activity was yesterday.)

This application is often crashed, but handy and easy tool to make The Sims 3 custom content.

If you notice, all of the core modders, developer of applications, and youtubers above are dude (except Orange Mittens).

Where is the female troll in Tumblr Sims community who had audacity of saying "Men playing Sims are rare" to me in comment section after I told in my post in 2022 that many my own in real life male friends, male co-workers, male bosses have played The Sims ?

Recently I got my old friend from college, played The Sims 3 again after we talked about enjoyable relaxing/casual games being played in holidays,

Then we talked about The Sims topic... He liked making houses in The Sims 3 back in 2010-ish year and stopped playing some years after that because bored. He didn't know the presence of The Sims community online. I gave him copy of pirated The Sims 3 + all Expansion packs + patches in HDD I downloaded from year 2013-2014 something before I purchased legally on Steam... Introduced him to ModTheSims and Tumblr Sims community, just in case he wanted to download some clothing CC and my own CC creation here... heheh

Yeah glad he enjoys it again.

she's beauty, she's grace, she's a demon? this is my first download, and it's a base sim! she's only available as a base because she does not come with any cc. her facial structure will likely be the same, but the rest is up to you to customize! i didn't include cc because i used some personal cc i don't plan on sharing yet, and there are way to many files too account for. also she's a teen, so she won't transfer properly with cc. i use mastercontroller to allow multiple makeup and allow teenagers to wear adult clothes. you may or may not want to use these settings in your own game. (or you can age her up!) to download, you just need to place the .sim file to your savedsims folder.

Ecofinisher's crediting list for the "Ecofinisher 2.0 Sims 4 Game File"

About two months ago I think, I was thinking about wanting to do another save file again on Sims 4, but I didn’t know when exactly. During a procrastination moment I got into with fanfic writing, I took a small break and did other things, got from a work friend a couple of notebooks since she knows I love to write and I wrote down something I dreamt once wondering if it could be turned into a plot…..then as it was actually something for Sims, I thought about writing it down as a family summary. Around that week, I gathered more ideas and noticed down, what I had in mind to do. From an instruction video, I read the many variations people used in their save files and I decided to use the content only from the gallery. Content made by other Simmers. There are a few families out there, that I still created or downloaded from my starter-times in the game, because it wasn’t enough or I didn’t have any family in mind to fit the plot.

Notes:

- This save file contains objects and clothings from the following pack: Get To Work, Cats and Dogs, Werewolves, My first pet (Free/UTB free) and Holiday Celebration (Free/UTB free).

-The following worlds were used in the save file: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Brindelton Bay (1 new lot, the rest remains the same), Moonwood Hill. (1 new family is located there)

-The game should be free from any CC. There’s a possibility, that it could have something I have missed.

- I recently installed MasterController and some things I have fixed with it, rather than manually. *coughs* career.promote-cheats….you know, that way.

Moving on, here is the link, and it's packed inside a ZIP-file with a PDF file of all the buildings I screenshotted straight from the gallery with the original creator's name. The screenshots were too many for this single post only and it would be annoying to make more posts solely for that. The PDF file consists of 30 pages, but most of the sheets are just screenshots and the family that lives in it.

Households

The Alto family. The red-marked is the original one from the gallery from user gemz123. The one you'll find in my game has base-game content only. I only have the mentioned packs above and tried to stay closer to the original.

The Alvi-McIrish household. (McIrish are based on the mother-daughter duo from Ts3's Single Moms household and the Alvi are the ones with the single divorcee Dad from Sunset Valley) I had the Alvi's saved a long time ago in my gallery and I couldn't track back the right creator. I assume it was hestiah23. I only remember redesigning their clothes back then. McIrish as seen in the red square was made by gemz123.

From gemz123 I have gotten her parents. As far as I know, the user hasn't made its own version of Blair as far as I know. So my current favorite version of Blair is from this user mentioned in the image. (Oh I also took screenshots to facilitate for everyone, when looking for those versions on the gallery.

Taken from my other save file I shared back in 2023. Here you see hestiah23, the original creator and the clothing were put into owned games to prevent them from being "naked" (Oh and Judy's a scientist, lol I forgot about that)

The Goode and Bad household from Twinbrook. Ah from the last sales I bought Ambitions and played with them. (It was the only family I was familiar with 😂Wish I had got the game earlier)

Where are my former PSP gamers at? Do you all remember Annie Howell, the bar girl? I remembered her existence and had to add her in the game as well, knowing that she was a werewolf in the game and I had the pack as well! TengGong had made a great Sims 4-version of them. If you own said packs, you're definitely going to enjoy having them in your game. I had to go with what I had and follow somehow the PSP design.

I had a different plot for them, but changed at a later point. I was meant to focus on either Kaylynn or Parker, but ended up getting the idea to make Iliana "the main character" Iliana being the workaholic we know suddenly finding herself lost and needing to find her way back to reality. The Langeraks and Zelda are shared separatly, but were made by the same user. Also gemz123. The dog is from the user rnr1975 and is the house dog of Iliana and served as her therapy dog during her low days. I picked a Leonberger, which only exist in the gallery by other users as the game didn't own one in the breeds list.

The Jones-Brown family. Also from Twinbrook. They're not part of the plan, they are homeless. I thought about adding Jenni, because of the summary of the Goode and Bad household.

Yeah, I gave Mortimer parents in the game. They're also from the gallery, just one of the two happens to be dead now. - They also are dressed differently in the game. Very hideous, sadly :/ If you got the packs above, you'll get this look as DolphinSimmer13 made 😍

The Ritchi household. (In other names "The Megamind household)

They were both variations of them alone or together already. I preferred these two versions from two different users and set them together in the game. Roxanne doesn't need a lot of packs and Megamind is base game, so you wouldn't have a problem, when downloading them from the gallery.

The Sekemotos - OK, in the game they live separately. Yumi lives in a smaller house in Newcrest and Leighton is located in Oasis Springs with his toddler Sam. Everyone's favorite "legacy daddy" lives just like in the OG Sims 3 as a single Dad, just he might be interested in someone in this new town. If something is going to happen between them in the future.....it's up to you.

The Ursine household - Like girl, screw Jared Frio and everything, that happened in Sunset Valley. Take your daughter to a new place and raise her on you own. You have seen in life more men and women were doing the same with their kids and it's possible. Also from gemz123 - Simmers, seriously all his Sims 3-inspired Sims look so close to the original. This user so far has impressed me with how detailed the results were.

The Wainwrights - Owning the Get to Work park, they deserved to make an appearance somewhere in the game as well. "Eco, what idea did you even have for them? People barely know them?"

I stuck with the same plot as in Sims 3, just it progressed here 😂 I had read recently, that Oasis Springs is basically Strangetown, so....military, science freaks, weird shit.....why not?

Ok Ignore the name there, I had to remove their original kids from the save file and that was just my "emergency save name" - Just in case I save households during CAS, because you know.....freezes, crashes and mostly at the wrong moment. Luckily nothing has ever happened to me in the past weeks, but you never know. (As an avid fanfic writer I learned to press CTRL-S every 10 seconds to avoid trouble 😭)

They live separately in the game. Thornton had an affair with Jamie, while being married to Morgana. Both women figured it out and broke his heart and became friends. What happened next? Guess, who fulfilled Morgana's deepest desires? 😏

The Mysterious guys! People might look at the bio and wonder.....hmm they seem familiar, others would be.....some weird-ass looking Sims.....then you enter the game and notice one or two other Sims and realize......THOSE ARE FAMOUS SOCCER PLAYERS! I picked the ones, that went into my head first. (Of course, Messi and Ronaldo would be part of it xD Kinda obvious) They're also from different users, so I'm sharing all Sims separately and adding the RL picture of the players.

Infinite loading/saving screens glitch fix.

Infinite loading and saving screens can be caused for multitude of reasons. From save files too big or corrupted, to not turning off cheats in-game or store content missing appropriate fixes. Below the cut we'll delve into both situations and ways to handle it.

Before trying anything, we recommend for the players to give the next steps a go:

Clearing their cache

Following Steam guide, or our guide, to optimise their game.

Should the tips from these guides not work, we suggest the following solutions.

Infinite loading can be caused by: bloated (big) or corrupted files, too many mods, mods getting corrupted (broken or outdated) or incompatible with one another, duplicated or broken CC, too much of CC, Sims2 files in package form within your Packages folder, in-game options referenced in guides haven't fully been adjusted, long save files with large households and builds, gaming device issues. When the loading persists and doesn't move from the same point for a prolonged time, we suggest attempting to bring up Task Manager to "kill" the TS3 program. We do not recommend hard shutdown (holding power button), as it can cause device damage, unless the game is impossible to shut down through Task Manager.

Solutions:

Removing save files ending in .bad, and reverting to a previous save,

Removing missingdeps.idx from DCCache folder,

Steps of getting ErrorTrap, Overwatch, MasterController from the guides above - reset the town with MC on City Hall, use MC or Overwatch to delete all Sims' inventories in town, run daily town clean-up with ET and OW. Get Traveler if you have World Adventures, University Life and/or Into The Future,

Running a Save Cleaner on your problematic Save file,

Redownloading new copies of your mods, and making sure they're the latest updated versions which match your game version,

Researching to check if mods used are incompatible (if they edit the same thing), and removing the mods which clash,

Using Delphy's Dashboard for previous bulletin, along for checking CC in .package forms and making sure they're not Sims2 content,

Using Delphy's CUSTARD to check your CC in Sims3Pack,

Removing unnecessary (unwanted or duplicated) Mods, Custom and/or Store content,

in-game options of Memories and InteractiveLoadingScreens disabled + removing Memories from Scrapbook,

Using NRAAS Porter to pack up and move your household to another town with their relationships intact,

Using NRAAS Saver to Save thoroughly, under new name each title, instead of always saving over the same file,

Removing extra saves from your Saves folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Saves) to another trusted device (we suggest an external disk), and keeping under a handful of wanted ones - the folder shouldn't have 4GB & more of files.

No space on Disk - the game requires at least 35GB extra free space to be able to run smoothly. Free up some space or reinstall the game on another disk/drive with more space (back up your The Sims 3 folder before this).

Gaming device ran out of memory or is incapable of running that specific save.

If all else fails, removing your current The Sims 3 folder outside of Documents to somewhere safe, and generating a new one. See if the issue persists with other towns and other families.

Infinite Saving is often caused by the same or similar reasons as Loading above, but there are few other things which can cause the saving loop. Besides using tips from above, we also recommend:

Turning off cheats - sometimes using cheats like moveobjects and buydebug can cause saving issues. Simply bringing up the cheat console and turning them with typing moveobjects off or buydebug off can help.

Also remember to turn off all cheats before saving, testingcheatsenabled false included.

For Store Content users, Store Content needs fixes to work properly. For those who've used Games4TheWorld's KT Store Fixes or those who never tried Store Fixes, we strongly advise to download and install Phantom99's Store Fixes.

Gameplays should be shorter (no longer than a couple of hours) for different reasons. Create a few save files. Fully exit the game. Clear the cache and remove unnecessary saves (or all except the last one). This allows your device to cool off and possibly regain the memory it lent to the game. You can get back into your gaming again.

I generally don't allow my sims to die of anything but old age, but I would like to try out all the different deaths and ghosts at some point. The haunting curse ghost looks especially cool.

A mix of both? I tend to use Maxis-type clothes and furniture with textured patterns. I like most of my stuff to be fairly gameplay-friendly as well and it bothers me when there's clipping with sims animations so I don't use too many alpha clothes.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Not generally, but I find that most EA sims are just very skinny? I had the pregnancy weight-gain mod installed, but the results were so extreme that I removed it and cheated the weight myself.

Do you move objects?

I mainly use it for storytelling, but is it even possible to play this game without using move objects sometimes?

Favorite Mod?

What an impossible question! If I had to choose one mod I can't live without, it'd be NRaas MasterController, but in terms of gameplay mods, I'm really enjoying adding new recipes and harvestables to my game these days. That's a lot of different mods together, so maybe I'm cheating a bit with that answer, haha.

The first sims game I was ever able to successfully install was Sims 2 and I think it was a "Deluxe" package that came with Nightlife? I don't remember what my first pack was for Sims 3. Maybe Late Night as well?

It's an adjective, isn't it? Like 'alive.' Listen, I get that it's probably supposed to be the other one, since they have some weird theme of using verbs as adjectives. But 'live' is already an adjective, so no-one is going to say it that way.

How can I choose just one?? I do obviously love Rose a lot. She's adorable.

Oh yes. Honestly I'm shocked so many of you don't. I automatically insert myself into every fantasy hahaha I am very self-absorbed.

Hmmm I enjoy the long male hair from Supernatural, especially on beardy men. And I also really like the 'modern braids' female hair from the store.

Definitely gameplay. I am trying to be a bit better at building, but it's such a slog.

No, I have no interest in trying to play the game in a way that's entertaining for other people. I do that the rest of the day; sims time is just for me.

I've put a lot more effort into aesthetics recently. Setting things up takes more time but I get a lot more enjoyment out of the game once it's done.

I guess I probably have made one at some point but I have no idea what it is and I don't think I've ever used it. It's also just as likely that I actually don't have one.

How long have you had simblr?

It's complicated, haha! I had a simblr way back in... 2011-2012-ish? It was a messy time on simblr and in my life so I was never really able to develop a healthy relationship with it and I eventually deleted my blog after being inactive for a long time. Then after continuing my legacy story just for myself at a snail's pace for about a decade, I decided it was time to share with y'all again, and I opened this blog in October 2021.

How do you edit your pictures?

Reshade is first, and if a shot is taken outdoors and it's for a gameplay post, then sometimes that's it. If it's a bit darker than I'd like, I might apply all or part of this action using Photopea. Sometimes even more than once if it's really dark.

If it's a storytelling shot, I'll then also do manual debanding by selecting an area, copying it to a new layer, applying a gaussian blur, and then erasing around the edges to clean it up. It's tedious but also relaxing? And very satisfying in the end.

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?

Sims 3 has so many bangers but I love Ambitions a lot even though it's a glitchy mess sometimes. It's just so much fun.

Banyan Bend

While looking for something else the other day, I came across a link for this world and all of its original lots that were created by the 3 administrators of the old Sims Crossing site. Plus, the original sims created to live here were also up for grabs. Someone over on the Sims Cave uploaded them all. Which was great, since I had lost some of the stuff during my last 2 computer meltdowns and it was impossible to find any of them previously. So, if any of you want to play this world, hop on over to the Sims Cave and type in Sims Crossing - or Banyan Bend.

Anyway, this world was created right after Late Night came out and has no CC. It's their vision of how Twinbrook should have been. And while I like parts of it, there is room for improvement. But CAW hates me, so it is what it is.

I'm currently redoing lots. They placed the movie studio lot from Bridgeport on probably the only 64x64 lot in this town. And since I want to use that for my festival lot, I needed to find a movie lot on something smaller. They placed 2 of those dome thingies - that thing next to the science center in Sunset Valley - on 2 different 60x60 lots in town. One is for butterflies, while the other is... well, I'm not sure what it is. The butterfly one is down by the industrial lots - just down the street from their movie lot. So, I bulldozed it. Yes, I did! My greenie sims are not happy, but I'll let them have that other dome lot to keep their bugs in. I know! I'm way too nice to my sims.

I tried several different lots on this space before I accidently came across a lot over on MTS, created by someone called mccorade. It was created with Riverview in mind. And while it wasn't exactly what I wanted, it was a good start. And it was on a smaller lot. I think maybe 50x50. So, thank you!

Anyway, here it is now. I have made several changes - as I normally do - but the bones are mccorade's.

First thing I did was resurface the parking areas and change out the fencing. This is Banyan Bend! These rednecks can't afford fancy fences, so chain-link it is! I also added the fountains and those 2 large statues. Just because. I also made that main flowerbed smaller - so delivery trucks could access the main building. Then, on the backlot, I redid the houses - mostly used different finishes and added some more landscaping.

Then I made that area where the 'stars' can hang out in their trailers. Oh! And I switched out all the trees.

And finally, in the back, I added a guard shack, more fencing and that driveway to the back doors of the main building. And viola! Banyan Bend has a new place to make movies! Go me!

While I was in the area, I also got rid of the old science center lot. Since I used that hospital from Supernatural on the lot in town where they had their hospital RH, I really didn't need another lot wasted on my science sims. (This world was created before EA came out with their combo lots). So, I decided to make another 'movie' type lot.

This one is loosely based on that KWLW Studio lot from the Sims 1. This is where the hit series, "As the Stomach Churns," and the "Next Great Sim Nation Idol" are filmed. And the local Banyan News channel churns out their daily feed. I used that smaller stage - the 6x7 - one for my Idol stage. If any of you want it, it's over on TFM's Naughty Sims Asylum. You have to be a member, but sign-up is super easy. Once you get over there, type in Shimrod's mods. It's his BuyDebug Genie Lamp and smaller showtime stage mod. Pop it into your overrides folder and viola! A smaller stage is yours! Easy-peasy!

Anyway, I'll post interior pictures later. I was moving in sims today - after redoing the generic cemetery they had. Had to kill off sims and then replace all the fake graves with ones that will generate ghosts. Plus, I write bios for all my families and then - with the help of MasterController - create conflict amongst all of them. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it. Which is why I am the simgoddess and my sims aren't!

Some Things I've Noticed/Enjoyed While Playing With Just the Base Game TS3

I've been meaning to make this post for a long while, especially since I've been on Gen 2 (World Adventures), for months now, but I've never gotten around to it. Better late than never.

I had disabled all my packs and CC (except for a few defaults) for the first generation of my lepacy. An interesting thing I've noticed — I'm not sure if this also happens when using the Any Game Starter, as I used the launcher to disable packs — is that the game will still try to reference code from the disabled packs. I've gotten notifications about teenage mood swings. One sim was somehow a fairy, and had the wing glow in CAS, but no wings, and the glow did not appear in Live Mode. Another Sim had 0.1% alien DNA. And, as I've shown before in other posts, I can still use the Ambitions stylist feature through MasterController, but the background is understandably blank, and ghosts appear human (a glitch I have used to my benefit).

I don't feel as limited by the lack of CAS and Build/Buy options as I thought I would, given I had gone from all EPs, two-thirds of the SPs, a little bit of store content, and a fair amount of CC, to just BG items. It especially seemed strange since I had felt limited back when I first started playing TS3. I attribute this to the fact that I use CASt a lot more than I did back then, the fact that I've already been editing townies' wardrobes to reflect their personality as they age up, which requires me to get creative, and the fact that I've had some experience with limiting the content I use as a result of my EP Build Project.

I've noticed that more people seem to show up on community lots than they did when I had all packs enabled. I don't know if it's because there are fewer community lots present for them to choose from, if it's due to my game running more smoothly without EPs so the game can push more Sims to whichever community lot I'm at, or if it's a combination of the two.

It is really nice not having to worry about things like weather or zombies. I can have a garden outside without having to deal with the plants going dormant in the winter, and I don't have to fence them in, since they're not going to be eaten by zombies, wild horses, or deer. It gives me more freedom when setting up the structure of my garden. I can also do things like place children's toys outside without having to worry about my Sims getting too cold/hot or getting rained on (I, in fact, did place the toddler toys outside when May, Myra, and Martin were toddlers, since there was no room inside the tiny, one-bedroom house. Those three spent pretty much the entire toddler stage outdoors.)

Challenge Rules

Basic Rules

No cheats for money, moodlets, needs, aging, relationships, or items (unless you’re trying to fix a glitch).

No cheats for baby gender.  You can eat 3 watermelons in first day for a girl, eat 3 apples in first day for a boy.  You can also try for twins/triplets with Fertility Treatment with 10,000 Happiness Points, listen to children’s music, read pregnancy books, alchemy Procreation Elixir

Cheats allowed for editing outfits without walking to the dresser or mirror.  That includes hair color but not eyes.

Take care of children to select traits.  If you can’t select them, spend points (including cheating them from parents) to buy “Mid-Life Crisis” to reset traits when they hit their specified age.

They must maintain their last name throughout all 15 generations.

Free Will must be on High for everyone else and Off for currently selected Sim.  You are allowed to occasionally direct a Sim before their specified age, but you have to spend the majority of time on the current generation.  Once you move to the younger generation, expect to control them permanently.

Individuals can move out and become townies.  You have to play the family in the legacy home for the entirety of the game and cannot switch the active household.

Lifespan has been set for enjoyable play at every stage.  Aging must be on for family and townspeople.  No cheating ages, but LTR and Life Fruit allowed.

Total lifespan 90 days:

Teen 14 days

Young Adult 21 days

Adult 21 days

Elder 17 days

Hybrid (which won't be needed in this challenge)

Do you know a tutorial or a mod that deletes (not just hides like nraas mastercontroller) the fugly recolors of cas stuff? Kinda like the WallFloorHiderCompilation mod does the extra recolors of wall and floors in build mode.

Deleting would be hard, you would have to edit your game files to delete presets. So i don't actually know anything that deletes stuff. Only hides. And then I only know full object hiders not recolor hiders, sorry!
